Internet Safety Workshop – Children of the Streets
Our workshop is designed to address key learning outcomes as laid out by the Ministry of Education, including goal setting and decision making, personal safety strategies to avoid exploitive situations on the internet and drug and alcohol prevention strategies. Workshops from grade 4-12 are designed to build on one another as a youth progresses through the school system, with the goal to increase social responsibility and build empathy. The National Centre For Missing and Exploited Children reports that one in five youth have received a sexual solicitation online. With an increasing number of incidences of sexual exploitation being facilitated online, our workshops empower youth to make healthy online choices in order to protect themselves from sexual exploitation and promote health
