Queer Group at Douglas Park is a new program for LGBTTQQIAAP youth to hang out, find resources, share experiences, develop leadership skills, and get support.

By popular demand the teens now have their own time and their own space. Take over the community centre MOST Friday nights – have access to the kitchen, lobby, gym and youth room. No scheduled activities just what every feels right that night. This program will require you to get a OneCard and scan in every Friday you are here – No Card – No hangout.

Yoga for Youth

Through the use of interactive yoga postures and playful yoga games we build inner and outer strength and flexibility. The physical and mental benefits of yoga are acquired through practicing breathing exercises, flowing sequences, balancing/partner poses and deep relaxation. Journaling, meditation techniques and discussions about emotions, promoting self-esteem and self-awareness are incorporated.
