Calling all crafters to come together once a month. Knit, crochet, needlepoint, sew, felt, pottery, card making, beading, drawing?anything goes and the sky is the limit! Meet other craft minded people, get inspired, learn from each other and pay it forward! We create individually, collect it together and then contribute it back to the community in a meaningful way. Past projects have included creating comfort mitts for people living with dementia who are in hospital, creating comfort items (ie blankets, stuffed animals, inspirational cards) for welcome kits at Ronald McDonald House, creating winter warmth items (hats, scarves, mitts, socks) for youth at Covenant House, lap blankets and household items for Atira Women?s Resource Society, squares that became blankets for Honour Society and most recently, welcoming and encouraging items for residents of Belkin House. We bring in guest speakers with inspiring stories and talents! Our spring project will be creating items of comfort and practical use for MamasforMamas, a non profit organization that supports people who care for children. No experience necessary as we tap into our individual talents to help others out. Feeling good by doing good!
