This free program in partnership with Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver. Game On! is a fun, interactive, group mentoring program led by positive adult mentors. The program focuses on active-play, connection, having fun. Mentors lead meaningful discussions around healthy lifestyles, self-esteem, impacts of bullying and positive communication.

Recreation Programs

 
Douglas Park Community Centre offers a wide variety of opportunities for all ages in the areas of arts, culture, education, recreation, sport and social activities.
 
Special Events such as Afternoon Teas, Breakfast with Bunny and Community Day bring the community together to get to know one another and celebrate holidays, festivals and special occasions.
 
We have a pottery studio, teen/youth centre, childcare, and a fitness room. Outside, there is a tennis court, sports fields, and a wading pool.

REGISTRATION PROGRAM CYCLE

Most programs will require registration. There are many activities that will offer both a registration and a drop-in option. On most occasions, committing to a full seasonal session of a program provides you with a better rate than dropping-in each time. Utilizing our facilities such as the Exercise Room, Pottery Studio can all be done on a drop-in basis (lessons require registration).

Douglas Park Community Centre operates season to season. Most programs begin at the start of the season and continue (on average) for 10-15 weeks. Many programs are recurring but require registration every season. Our registration is opened in each of our four seasons and you can register for programs at any time until they fill up:

Winter: January – March Registration begins in December.
Spring: April – June Registration begins in December.
Summer: July – August Registration begins in May.
Fall: September – December Registration begins in August.
