Moving With Ease – Balance, Core and Flow
Decription:
Moving with Ease is a Balance, Core and Flow Programme designed to maintain autonomy and enhance body awareness, confidence and coordination in older adults. Drawing from Qigong, Taijiquan and contemporary dance, the programme develops proprioception, postural stability and fluid adaptability through joyful, improvisational movement. Emphasis is placed on ease of movement rather than on fear-driven fall avoidance. The programme is offered in three modules, each lasting 10 weeks:Module 1 – Standing foundationsModule 2 – Sitting and kneeling dynamicsModule 3 – Lying and rolling integrationEach module may be taken on its own as a complete and meaningful experience, or joined sequentially as a progressive series that gradually increases physical challenge and movement complexity. This flexible structure makes the program suitable for a wide range of participants, including those new to movement-based therapy or those seeking a year-long exploration of confident embodied movement.
